Join us for a nationally accredited two-day Mental Health First Aid course
Build the confidence, skills, and knowledge you need to support the mental health and wellbeing of those around you. Whether you're an educator, leader, or community member, this course will equip you with practical tools to recognise, respond to, and support people experiencing mental health challenges.
Course Details
This immersive training runs across two full days, from 8:30am to 4:30pm each day.
You'll be well taken care of, with Morning Tea, Lunch, and Afternoon Tea provided.
This will be hosted in Conference room Baronia #3
Certification & Next Steps
At the conclusion of the course, you'll complete a brief 15-question assessment.
Successful completion grants you official accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider, valid for three years.
Upon completing the Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, participants will:
✅Understand common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use problems.
✅ Learn how to recognise early signs of mental health challenges and differentiate between crisis and non-crisis situations.
✅ Build skills in providing initial help and reassurance, using evidence-based strategies until professional support is available.
✅ Gain practical, de-stigmatising language to talk about mental health in a way that fosters psychological safety and trust.
✅ Receive a nationally recognised accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider (valid for 3 years).
✅ Walk away with a practical action plan (ALGEE) you can apply in workplaces, communities, and everyday interactions.
✅ Develop greater empathy and confidence to offer support without judgment, using approaches informed by lived experience and current mental health research.
