About
Bec Barrett's career path is anything but conventional, and that is exactly what makes her such a brilliant addition to the Phoenix Support team.
Bec began her working life in beauty therapy, where she developed an early eye for detail and a genuine care for the people she served. After her two children came into the world, she took that same energy and channelled it into a whole new venture, opening her first coffee shop. What followed was ten years of building, growing, and running multiple hospitality businesses as a self-employed woman who wore every hat in the building. She planned, created, marketed, problem-solved, and showed up every single day for her team and her customers. That kind of experience teaches you things no course can.
Through it all, Bec discovered something she was particularly good at - telling a story that made people pay attention. Marketing became her passion, and when the opportunity to bring that passion to Phoenix Support for Educators arrived, she grabbed it with both hands.
In her first year at PSFE, Bec has settled into the role of Executive Assistant to the General Manager, alongside her marketing work, and has already made her presence felt in the best possible way. She brings creativity, initiative, and a deep commitment to doing things well, a natural fit in a team that holds itself to a high standard.
If you know the Phoenix Cups framework, you will not be surprised to learn that Bec has dominant Mastery and Freedom Cups. She is a high achiever who does not shy away from a challenge, and she thrives when she has the creative latitude to bring her own ideas to life. Give her a goal and the freedom to pursue it her way, and she will deliver something worth noticing.
Outside of work, you will find Bec at the beach, on a camping trip, or doing something delicious in the kitchen. She has a real passion for cooking and creating, and her dog Teddy is a devoted companion through all of it.
We are so glad she found her way to us.
